The Oneida Nation Communications Department provides an array of experiencesfor your event which includes tours, facilitating pow-wow exhibitions, "Hands-On" displays, storytelling and presenters for your group. We invite you to our community to learn more about Oneidas', the "People of the Standing Stone." Discover our past, present and envision our future as you take a guided tour of the Oneida Museum, Tsyunhehkwa Natural Retail Center and Organic Farm. Visit Salt Pork Avenue, Tribal Schools, Parish Hall, Buffalo Farm and Industrial Park.

Individual or Groups
Basic Tour
The basic tour of the Oneida Nation is an hour "drive-by" tour. Points of interest include but are not limited to: the Norbert Hill Center, Tsyunhehkwa Natural Retail Center, Apple Orchard, Buffalo Farm, Turtle School, and historic "Salt Pork Avenue".

Cost includes: transportation, guide fees and Oneida Nation souvenir pin.

Deluxe Tour
The deluxe tour of the Oneida Nation is approximately 3 hours in length. The tour guide will give your group a more complete historical & cultural tour of the Oneida Nation, including stops at the Oneida Museum and Tsyunhehkwa Natural Retail Center

Pow-Wow Exhibition
The Oneida Nation Dancers will demonstrate the different styles of pow-wow dances which include men & women's traditional, men & women's fancy, men's grass & women's jingle dress. There will be an Emcee who will talk your group through the program and explain the different styles and significance of each dance. This is an interactive performance, so be prepared to join in the dancing to the beat of the drum!

Length: Average length is 45 minutes

Storytelling
The Oneida Nation has a rich oral tradition that is passed down from generation to generation. Each story told has a significant meaning and lesson to be learned. Some examples are, "Why the Frog Has No Teeth" and "Why the Cornhusk Doll Has No Face". These are just a few stories, there are many, many more.

"Hands-On" Display
A representative of the Oneida Nation will assist the group in learning more about the Oneida Nation & its people through visual aids. The presenter will explain each "artifact & replica", its meaning, use and present oral history of the Oneida People.
